Nelly Darbois
Her specialty: Wikipedia. With a rigorous and transparent approach, she challenges common practices in the online reputation management industry.
Nelly began contributing to Wikipedia as a volunteer in 2012, while also developing web projects related to her first profession, physiotherapy. Over time, she built a dual expertise in scientific writing and SEO, which led her to create kinedarbois.fr in 2019—a trilingual information website that now exceeds 150,000 monthly visits.
Observing a growing need for professional guidance specifically related to Wikipedia, she founded Wikiconsult in 2022. While some U.S.-based agencies had already adopted a transparent approach to Wikipedia editing—clearly disclosing who was involved and adhering to the encyclopedia’s rules—most major players in France remained opaque about their methods. Nelly chose instead to align her work with the spirit of Wikipedia. In just three years, she has supported over 120 clients, both in France and internationally.
Her expertise is recognized by the media: she’s been featured in podcasts and interviewed by leading French outlets such as La Croix and Challenges. She is also a member of the Wikimedia Consultants Network, an international group of professionals committed to ethical Wikipedia consulting.
Committed to direct democracy, decentralization, and consensus-based decision-making at the state level as well, she is co-founder of the political party Solution Démocratique, which aims to promote a Swiss-inspired political model in France.
She lives in the French Alps with her husband and their two children.
