Nelly Darbois
Her specialty: Wikipedia. With a rigorous and transparent approach, she challenges common practices in the online reputation management industry.
Nelly Darbois has been passionate about the web since the early 2000s. A self-taught web creator, she began building websites at age 12. After earning her degree in physical therapy in 2012, she launched her first professional site and started contributing to Wikipedia as a volunteer that same year.
In 2019, she formalized her digital activity by creating kinedarbois.fr, a trilingual website generating over 150,000 monthly visits. She became an SEO consultant and web content specialist, including working on SEO strategy for French presidential candidate Jean Lassalle in 2022.
Seeing a growing need for professional support on Wikipedia, she founded Wikiconsult in 2022. While some American agencies had already integrated the importance of transparency into their Wikipedia services, French players were operating in the shadows. Nelly chose an approach that respected the encyclopedia’s rules, making her work visible and accessible. In three years, she has worked with over 120 customers on three continents.
Her expertise is recognized by the media: she’s been featured in podcasts and interviewed by leading French outlets such as La Croix and Challenges. She is also a member of the Wikimedia Consultants Network, an international group of professionals committed to ethical Wikipedia consulting.
An advocate for direct democracy, she co-founded Solution Démocratique, a political initiative inspired by Switzerland’s democratic model and aimed at adapting it for France.
Originally from the south of France, she now lives in the French Alps with her husband and their two children.
